About the Role

• Dive deep into the European funding landscape and learn about how the EU funds groundbreaking innovations and pan-European projects.
• Take an active role preparing funding proposals with consortium partners for multi-million EU tender opportunities.
• Support innovative startups in energy, cleantech, biotech, and health in the entire EU funding lifecycle – from initial programme consulting to drafting their funding proposals.
• Research European funding opportunities and their application requirements to provide important information to founders, private investors and corporates.
• Scout startups across relevant verticals for potential EU funding projects.
• Expand your knowledge and skills in venture capital, startup fundraising and Europe’s innovation ecosystem.
• Developing relationships with industry leaders, accelerators, incubators, venture capitalists, and entrepreneurs for potential partnering opportunities.

About You

• You have a keen interest in the European innovation ecosystem, collaborative European projects and EU funding instruments that drive Europe’s innovation in sectors like cleantech, energy, biotech, and health.
• You have solid writing skills and can assess a lot of information quickly to build captivating narratives within the scope of funding- or tender applications.
• You are at ease conducting research on relevant EU policy and funding topics and present information in a concise way.
• You are a strong communicator both internally and externally with clients and project partners.
• You are currently studying or have recently completed a degree in business administration, management, finance, public policy, international relations, or any STEM related field.
• You are fluent in English and in 1 other European language.
• You have between 1-2 relevant professional experiences.
• You are an EU citizen or entitled to work in Portugal.
